And now for an unprecedented analysis of this picture. What is in that metal case that GD is trying to protect? He’s definitely chained to that chair because he wanted to be, not against his will, because his feet aren’t chained to the chair with that length of chain that’s inexplicably around the bottom of the chair (what is it supposed to be restraining? the ice? watch out, it might melt while he’s sitting there!) and he’s also holding onto an end hook. If he really wanted to get free, all he would have to do is just…move that length of chain from around himself and with a bit of wiggling he could unchain himself easily. You could say it’s more like symbolism and he’s trapped there in a symbolic way by the chains and tell me to shut the hell up because it doesn’t have to be realistic. But if you wanna talk symbolism, he’s wearing this massive key around his neck, and while that certainly won’t open the master lock holding some of the chains together (presumably), it’s definitely a symbol of his control over his own situation there. So he’s chained himself to a block of ice and is wearing a key which could unlock either the chains or the box on the floor (not realistically, but symbolically), yet he’s sitting there defiantly with a hand on his restraints and a foot on the box, unwilling to unlock either. Because he has gone to these lengths, I can’t help but be curious. Therefore I ask: What’s in the box, GD? Hmmmm?
